Muslamic Makers is a community of Muslim Changemakers helping Muslims level up across the tech industry and beyond. Muslamic Makers started life as a monthly meetup in 2016 in London which gave Muslims a safe space to share ideas, network and collaborate. It is now a bustling community with over 1500 members and we’re very excited that two of them are bringing the Muslamic Makers mission and vibes to Toronto, our first chapter in Canada!
Yusra has a background in electronic engineering and energy & now works in M&A. She has a keen interest in technology & representation, having previously worked with Robogals to address the lack of women in STEM, and more recently been involved with Muslamic Makers London before moving to Toronto. She also has a pet project collating stories of colonialism over at their-stories.com
