Pathway to Product

Six Monday evenings on Zoom, and by the end you knew whether product management was for you and how to get there.

The course

Product management is one of tech's best-paid and least-understood disciplines, and there was no obvious way in for our members. So we built one: a six-week, high-level tour of the product discipline, run twice across 2022. Over 50 people started their product journey with it.

Graduates left with three things: an honest picture of what a PM actually does day to day, product skills they could use immediately in their current job, and a clearer answer to "do I want this career, and how do I get it?"

What it covered

It wasn't just theory. Participants built and pitched a product case study, joined a fireside chat with expert PMs, and learned inside a private cohort space on our Slack.

Priced for access

£100 early bird for six expert-taught weeks, with cheaper student places. And for people who were long-term unemployed, earning under £15k, carers or single parents, places were free. That mix, paid keeping it sustainable and funded spaces keeping it open, became the template for everything we charged for.
