Chapters

From one room in London to three countries

Every chapter was shaped by a core team of 3–5 volunteers and a local lead who built events around what their own community needed.

MM London · 2016–2026

London is where it all started: the longest-running chapter, host to hundreds of Muslim techies across a decade. It sparked startup ideas, co-founder connections and career jumps, moving between the offices of Syncspot, Car Throttle, Onfido, WorldRemit, Future Gov and Google over the years. Many incredible volunteers left their mark on this chapter.

MM North · 2022–2026

As demand for local events grew, Manchester launched in 2022 and West Yorkshire followed in 2023. In 2025 the two merged into MM North, spanning the powerhouse cities of Leeds and Manchester. AI seminars, hands-on workshops at world-class makerspaces, and some of our best-attended networking events happened here.

MM wound down in 2026 and the Northern community carried on as Digital Muslims North. Events continue in Leeds and Manchester today.

The original Manchester chapter was brought to life by Mustafa Rashid, e-commerce and digital content creator, and Shaf Choudry, co-founder of The Riz Test.

MM Toronto · 2023–2026

Our first chapter in Canada. Toronto kicked off in 2023, bringing together Muslim changemakers, tech professionals and creatives from across the city, and built real momentum in the North American community.

MM Toronto wound down in 2026 and the community carried on as MINT (Muslims in Innovation & Technology). Events continue in the Greater Toronto Area today.

MM Boston · 2023–2025

Our first chapter in America, launched in 2023 in partnership with the Islamic Society of Boston Community Center. Boston hosted a brilliant run of career panels, fireside chats and discussions on the Golden Age before its founders moved on to other ventures.
