What it was
By 2024 the community had produced enough founders that we built them their own programme. /Cubit was a seven-week, in-person incubator in London: 20 early-stage Muslim founders per batch, taken from idea to launch.
Weekly workshops covered building in public, product development, market analysis, perfecting your pitch and securing funds. Circles were kept small so every founder got the spotlight. You didn't need a finished product to join, just an idea worth backing and the drive to build it.
The philosophy
The name and the thinking drew on Ibn Khaldun's idea of asabiyya: community as a source of strength. It wasn't just theory. B2B and consumer companies in the programme found their first 40 to 50 paying customers inside the Muslamic Makers community, along with the kind of early, honest product feedback money can't buy.
After graduation came ongoing office hours, access to the mentor network and introductions to investors.
How it was funded
/Cubit was exclusive to Supporters Club members (£60 a year), and that fee did double duty: it funded two free places per batch for founders who couldn't pay due to unemployment or the cost of living crisis. Accessibility was baked into the business model, same as every programme we ran.
