What is Muslamic Makers?

Muslamic Makers is a community of Muslim Changemakers helping Muslims level up across the tech industry and beyond. Muslamic Makers started life as a monthly meetup in 2016 in London which gave Muslims a safe space to share ideas, network and collaborate. It is now a bustling community with over 2000 members.

In 2025 Muslamic Makers North was born, merging the Manchester (2022) and West Yorkshire (2023) chapters. We have a combined presence across the north of England, spanning the economic power house cities of Leeds and Manchester.

Mohammed Pakwashee

As the North Chapter lead, Mohammed looks after events, engagement and team management. Mohammed is a Senior Data Engineer at NHS England and enjoys Photography.

Rehan Hussain

Rehan is a Senior Data Engineer working in consulting at Oakland Group. He has a passion for Tech events and keen to build the Northern Muslim tech community.

Adam Derradji

Adam is a founder, developer and app designer. Currently building a productivity boosting app for students.

Amrein N

Amrein works as an IT Trainer for a Law firm. Passionate about community and energised to shine the light on Muslims in the North.

Arif Ali

Arif is a Corporate Lawyer at DLA Piper. He’s experienced at delivering events and building community for Muslims in a variety of professional spaces.

Hamad Ali

Hamad is a Senior Software Developer at Credera. Passionate about helping others getting into tech and has a thriving social media presence. He loves to run and raise money for charity in his spare time.
