Everything we do is made possible by our amazing volunteer community.
Each chapter is shaped by a core team of 3–5 passionate volunteers and led by a local organiser who helps shape the direction of events and community-building efforts.
Below is a snapshot of each chapter and how you can reach out or get involved.
London is where it all started- the longest running chapter that has hosted hundreds of Muslim techies, sparked startup ideas, cofounder connections, career advancement and so much more.
Many incredible volunteers have left their mark on this chapter over the years. Today, it continues to bring people together across industries to share ideas, build networks, and uplift Muslim talent in tech and beyond.
As the London lead, Salma looks after the events and engagement and advises across other business initiatives.
As MM has grown, so has the demand for local events. The northern chapter evolved from the merging of our Manchester (2022) and West Yorkshire (2023) chapters.
From AI seminars to hands on workshops at world class makerspaces and top tier networking events our Northern community is carving out space for learning, leadership, and local impact.
As the North Chapter lead, Mohammed looks after events, engagement and team management. Mohammed is a Senior Data Engineer at NHS England and enjoys Photography.
2023 saw us kicking off the chapter in Toronto. Our community in North America is vibrant and the event saw us bring together Muslim changemakers, tech professionals, and creatives from across the city.
We’re excited to continue building momentum and forging connections across the globe!
Yusra has a background in electronic engineering and energy & now works in technology M&A. She has a keen interest in technology & representation.
She strongly believes that how we operate as a community needs to centre around how to support one another & grow. Her involvement with Muslamic Makers is an extension of this work.
Boston also launched in 2023 and hosted an incredible series of events from career panels to fireside chats and discussions around the Golden Age.
The chapter founders Ali and Anas brought the MM vision to life in Boston, fostering deep connections, and inspiring events. They are now focusing on other ventures so the chapter is currently on hiatus- we’re incredibly grateful to our teams across the globe who make our events happen and we wish them all the best in their journey!
