Afsar Alam

Data Lead

I’m Afsar from Luton and I am incredibly excited for this charity deployment in Bangladesh! As a Data Functional Lead at Eutelsat Group, a satellite connectivity company, I have always been passionate about making meaningful business change with technology. This tech deployment is truly one of a kind, as it enables us to use technology and go beyond just business change and focus on transforming young lives instead.

As a British Bangladeshi, I have visited the country numerous times and always wondered: why do so many young talented people often feel the need to become “migrant” workers. This is mainly because of limited access to good opportunities within the country. However, I truly believe we can fill that gap, especially in a world that is so globally connected and technologically advanced. By upskilling our young people with tech skills, this can be a catalyst for positive change which creates endless opportunities within Bangladesh.

Ahmed Zaitoun

Computer Science Grad

This is Ahmed Zaitoun from Mobile, Alabama! I graduated with a degree in Computer Science from the University of South Alabama.

I’ve been exploring my path in tech post graduation, while also staying active in community work. I help run a local nonprofit called Mobile for Palestine and organize events within the local Muslim community. I’m also part of my city’s film office program, where I’ve been learning about filmmaking and creative storytelling.

I’m really excited to be a part of this team and this deployment. Down here there are many companies that deal with weapons manufacturing so I’m happy to see that there is an opportunity to use my tech skills for good and make an impact on the students. Especially in a way that will help shape their future and provide them with tech skills

Farzana Uddin

Product Manager

I’m Farzana, located in London 🇬🇧 and currently working as a Product Manager for a B2B company

This deployment is incredibly important for me and deeply personal as I feel incredibly privileged to have been given the opportunities I have; and recognise that this is not something that the women in my family were blessed with. Equally, the only thing that differentes me from the young girls we would inshallah be helping is luck. For that reason, I feel a great responsibility to do more for others. This sort of opportunity was on my 33 before 33 (Jannah age) list so I feel incredibly grateful to insha’Allah achieve one of my goals.

Radi Choudhury

Product Designer

As-salaamu alaykum everyone, I’m Radi, born and raised in London. I’m currently working as a product designer, and have been helping Muslims find love at Muzz (formerly muzmatch) for the past 4 years.

In my free time lately I’ve been playing on my Switch 2, reading fantasy or sci-fi novels, and recently been trying out a bit of bouldering.

I wanted to join this deployment as I saw this as an opportunity to reconnect with my roots (I haven’t been back home since I was about 5 years old) and also to give back to our own communities in a way that’s more than just donating money online.
